Editorial Policy

Copper Sky Dental publishes service pages, area pages, and a regular blog covering dental care for adults and seniors in Peoria and the West Valley. Many of our readers are weighing a treatment decision, comparing local practices, or trying to understand what to expect from a procedure they have been recommended. We take that responsibility seriously. This editorial policy explains who writes our content, how it is reviewed, the sources we rely on, and how we keep what we publish accurate and current.

Who Creates This Content

All clinical content published on copperskydental.com is written by or in close collaboration with the licensed dental professionals at Copper Sky Dental. Our two practicing dentists bring a combined six decades of patient care experience to every page, and they sign off on the medical claims, recommendations, and procedural descriptions that appear under their names.

Dr. Robert S. Holyoak, DMD earned his DMD from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry and has practiced dentistry in the West Valley since 1976. He holds membership in the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association.

Dr. Lisa Kubik, DMD earned her DMD from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine and joined Copper Sky Dental in 2018. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association.

Medical Review Process

Each service page and clinical blog post is reviewed by one of our dentists before publication. The reviewing dentist is identified in the byline at the top of the page. Their role is to verify clinical accuracy, flag outdated guidance, and ensure that content reflects current standard-of-care practices.

Content covering surgical or complex restorative procedures, such as dental implants, All-on-4 implants, or tooth extractions, is reviewed by Dr. Kubik, who performs these procedures. All other content is reviewed by both Dr. Holyoak and Dr. Kubik.

How We Use External Sources

Where clinical claims require external support, we link to authoritative sources including the American Dental Association (ADA), the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Mayo Clinic. We prefer primary research, professional society guidance, and government health resources over secondary commentary. We do not accept payment to link to any source, and we do not link to a source we have not read in full.

When a topic involves an active area of research, such as long-term outcomes for certain implant materials or evolving guidance on adjunctive antibiotics, we note that the evidence is evolving and we describe the current standard of care rather than overstating the certainty of the science. Citations point to publications and pages that we expect to remain available for at least several years.

Cost and Pricing Information

We provide cost ranges and general pricing context on service pages when the question is one patients ask most often. Pricing on our site is described as a range and labeled as illustrative because every case is different. Insurance coverage, the materials chosen, the complexity of the case, and the number of teeth involved all shift the final number. For an accurate quote, we always invite patients to schedule a no-charge consultation.

Editorial Independence and No Advertising

Copper Sky Dental is an independently owned dental practice. We do not run third-party advertising on this website, we do not accept sponsored posts, and no product or service appears in our content because a vendor paid for it to appear. When we recommend a brand or a product, such as a specific toothpaste, a particular implant system, or a dental laboratory, that recommendation reflects the clinical experience of our dentists.

Use of AI

We use AI writing tools to draft outlines and first passes of certain content, and to suggest structural improvements to existing pages. Every page that touches clinical recommendations is then edited, fact-checked, and reviewed by a licensed dentist before publication. We do not publish AI-generated content without human dentist review, and we do not present AI-written content as the personal voice of a specific dentist unless that dentist has reviewed and edited the page in full.

Update Schedule

Service pages and clinical articles are reviewed at least once per year and updated whenever clinical guidelines change or new information becomes relevant. Each page displays a "Last updated" date so you can see when it was last reviewed. Major updates that change a clinical recommendation or add new evidence are noted with a revised date and a short summary of what changed. Minor copy or typographical updates do not always trigger a date change.

Corrections

If you believe any content on this site contains a factual error, please contact us directly. We take accuracy seriously and review every reported issue. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly, and when a correction changes the substance of a claim we add an editorial note to the page explaining what was revised.
