Accessibility Statement
We are committed to making our website accessible to everyone.

Our Commitment
Copper Sky Dental is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We work to improve the experience for everyone who visits this site, and we apply current accessibility standards in the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of every page. Our goal is for every visitor, including patients who use assistive technology, to be able to find the information they need about our dental services, book an appointment, and reach our team without barriers.
A large share of our patient population is over the age of 65. Many use reading glasses, larger system fonts, screen readers, or magnification tools. We design with this audience in mind on every page, and the same considerations benefit anyone who prefers larger type, simpler layouts, or quieter visual design.
Accessibility Standards
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines are the international standard for digital accessibility and outline how to make web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and cognitive disabilities.
The site is built on a static framework with semantic HTML5 markup, scoped CSS that respects user font-size and color-scheme preferences, and minimal JavaScript so that core content remains available even when scripts fail to load. We test new pages against WCAG criteria before publishing them, and we keep an audit log of accessibility fixes so that issues do not recur as the site grows.
Accessibility Features
Our website includes the following accessibility features:

- Color contrast: Sufficient contrast between text and backgrounds
- Readable fonts: Larger font sizes for improved readability

Browser Compatibility
Our website is designed to work with current versions of major web browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Our Office Accessibility
Beyond our website, the physical Copper Sky Dental office is designed with accessibility in mind. We are located on a single floor at 9431 W Thunderbird Rd Ste 2 in Peoria. Parking is at-grade and within a short walk of the entrance, the path from the lot to the front door is paved and step-free, and the entrance opens wide enough for wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids. Our reception desk has a lower section for patients who prefer to be seated while checking in.
Our operatories accommodate wheelchairs and mobility aids, and our clinical team is trained to assist patients with transfers when needed. We extend appointment times for patients who need more time to settle into the chair or who benefit from a slower pace during treatment. Anyone who would like to discuss accessibility needs before an appointment is welcome to call ahead so we can prepare the room and the schedule in advance.
Ongoing Efforts
We treat accessibility as a continuing responsibility, not a one-time project. The website is reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria on a regular cadence, and any issues that surface, whether from internal testing, automated tools, or patient feedback, are tracked and resolved. Our ongoing work includes:
- Regular manual and automated accessibility testing on every new page and template
- Training the team on accessibility best practices for both the website and the patient experience in the office
- Building accessibility checks into our design and development process so issues are caught before they ship
- Reviewing third-party widgets such as the appointment form, the Google Map embed, and any analytics scripts for their accessibility implications
- Responding to accessibility feedback from patients, family members, and visitors promptly and following up on each report
